Gomes technologies since inception in May 2018 has successfully completed 15 project. Gomes technologies takes prides in taking up challenging projects and non of the projects completed are similar . Contact us today to find out more or read below to learn about our current projects.
The customer who is expert in tool wear behaviour in high-performance materials has enabled to deliver a step change in performance with a new PCBN (Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride) cutting material. To achieve this, the customer decided to implement a robotic solution from Alicona, whereby it has the ability to measure tool and workpiece directly in the lathe machine with less operator intervention.
Gomes Technologies helped customer to integrate a high precision focus variation optical measurement system from Alicona measurements system with their CNC lathe machine. This allowed the customer to complete inspection for one tool in 20 minutes otherwise, it would take them 1.5 hours.
Gomes Technologies worked in collaboration with a Mechanical Desing company to develop a single axis servo control pin insertion machine. The boss and cotter of an antiluce are fastened together by Spirol pin using a manually operated press. Gomes Technologies helped develop the control system for the antiluce production process. An automated pin feeding system is developed allowing operator saving 40% production time with improvised operator safety.
Gomes Technologies developed a Laser cleaning robot cell for a Research centre in Coventry, UK. A novel approach is applied to synchronise the robot motion with the reflective mirror control of the laser source that provides better cleaning finishing on metals. To achieve this the robot kinematic of the Staubli is controlled via UniVal Drive option in the Robot controller externally from Beckhoff PLC.
Staubli robot controller allow Beckhoff PLC to implement Staubli Inverse kinematic software directly in the TwinCAT software to provide the joint values for each axis in real-time over EtherCAT bus system. The robot path planning is carried out by using G-Code interpolation method in Beckhoff PLC, as seen in the video,
Gomes Technologies have also developed a turnkey HMI software which allow user to upload a G-code file from a post processing software and some advance features that helped to ease system integration challenges.
Gomes Technologies is currently developing an AI enabled robot agnostic system aiming for cost effective AI edge platform that will train the model(s) from the data received from the robots, sensors, etc. integrated within the system. The AI will help to optimise the process in real-time The AI layer will be developed for user application. Gomes Technologies can look into your use cases, please get in touch.
